The Fit League App
Introduction
The App is for use by Fit League Athletes and Coaches. It can be used on smart phone, tablet or PC. Access to the App is by invitation only. It can't be downloaded from any App Store.
The App has task buttons across the top and bottom of the screen, further tasks are available via the menu button.
The following task buttons and menu options are available:
Courses:
Courses has 4 tabs available when viewed on mobile devices in portrait orientation, or 4 views available on PCs, Tablets or mobile devices in landscape orientation.
Courses: Shows the moves, and their order, for each the monthly courses throughout the season. For the current month your personal best (PB) and your season best (SB) scores, and the way in which you achieved them (Reps & Kg), are shown for each discipline.
Month Moves: An explainer about what month moves are, followed by a description & guide for each of the 6 moves featuring in this month's course.
Sub. Moves: An explainer about what sub. (Substitute) moves are, followed by a description & guide for each of the 2 sub. moves.
TT Moves: An explainer about what TT (Time Trial) moves are, followed by a description & guide for each of the 3 TT moves.
Profile / Profiles:
Each athlete has a profile record in the Fit League database. Information in the profile record is made up of required and optional information.
Profile (Athlete mode): display/edit required and optional information about the athlete.
Profiles (Coach mode): display/edit the required and optional information about all registered athletes. Allows new athletes to be registered.
The athlete's name should appear green but will appear Red if the athlete is not fully registered or has not completed subscription in WebCollect.
The Coach will enter most profile information at athlete registration. The athlete then has responsibility for ensuring the information in WebCollect and the app is up to date and complete.
Input:
Input has 2 tabs available when viewed on mobile devices in portrait orientation, or 2 views available on PCs, Tablets or mobile devices in landscape orientation.
Fit League Input: Through this tab, athletes and coaches can input their own Fit League scores for the current month, pending verification by their coach. Coaches can input and verify an athlete's score for the current month.
Trial Input: Through this tab, athletes can keep a record of their monthly Time Trial and Weighted Trial results. Trial results do not count towards Fit League and can be updated as many times as required throughout a month.
Results:
Results has 3 tabs available when viewed on mobile devices in portrait orientation, or 3 views available on PCs, Tablets or mobile devices in landscape orientation.
Squad Perf.: Monthly and YTD results for all squads per venue. Squad performance is calculated by finding the move performance average scores across the squad for each of the month's 6 moves. The 6 average move scores are then added together to give the squad's performance. Scores of 1 (if a substitute move has been used) are ignored in the averaging process, as are scores of zero if athlete's have not competed in that month.
Squad Perf. Detail: Athlete level performance, used in calculating the move performance average scores.
Squad Imp.: Each squad's performance score is divided by the average of all squads performance scores to give a monthly performance factor. The difference between that month and the previous month's squad performance factor is the squad's improvement factor. the YTD improvement factor is the sum of all months' improvement factors.
Trials: Previous months' trials results are shown. Trials are not a competition and so are not ranked. However, most athletes like to compare their results with others in their community, gender, age-group etc. This set of results allows that.

My Stuff has 5 tabs available when viewed on mobile devices in portrait orientation, or 5 views available on PCs, Tablets or mobile devices in landscape orientation.
Summary: A summary of your Fit League and Trials season so far.
My FL Perf.: Monthly and YTD details of your Fit League performance across all of the moves in this season's courses
My FL Imp.: Monthly and YTD details of your improvement this season.
My GOATs: Your all-time PBs and season SBs across all Fit League and Time Trial moves.
My Trials.: Monthly details of your performances across the Trial categories.
This level of detail regarding your results is available only to you.
Sync (round arrow, top right):
Refreshes the data in the app to pick up recent changes that may have been made by Athletes or Coaches. The app automatically presents the latest information when you open the app. The app also updates itself intermittently, if you keep the app open, so there is actually no need to use the sync button.
However, when you enter a set of scores and press Save, you may see an indicator on the sync button showing outstanding changes waiting to be synced from your device to the Fit League database. Please do not close your app until the indicator has cleared, otherwise your set of scores will not be updated on the Fit League database until the next time you open the app.

Settings:
On first use, no data is displayed in the app. The Athlete/Coach must activate the app by a once off selection of their name from a drop-down list and entry of their date of birth as a simple validation of correct use.
If your name does not appear in the drop-down list, you have not yet been registered, please contact your coach. Do not be tempted to use someone else's name, the selection cannot be changed without re-installing the app.
The app has several modes of operation. If available to you, you will have the option of choosing between Athlete, Witness, Coach or Admin modes. By returning to Settings you can opt to change the mode of operation of the app, if available to you.
